Congratulations! Your wedding day is finally here. Today you take the hand of your soulmate and best friend and marry them. After all that planning, all those decisions you had to make about today, it’s time to relax and let the plans kick into gear. Trust them. And trust the planning you’ve done. Above all, remember why you’re doing this and have an absolutely fabulous day! Savour it – it will go very fast and will be over before you can blink!
Some things to Remember on this day:
Remind yourselves why you’re doing this. Today has been a long time coming. Relax as much as you can. Savour the day. You’re gay, it’s your day, done your way!!!
Perhaps share breakfast or brunch on your special day, just the two of you – all by yourselves!
Drink plenty of water and stay hydrated.
Stay away from Champagne
Go easy on the champagne while you’re getting ready.
If you’re using make-up, try using waterproof mascara and long-lasting lipstick, if relevant.
After all that planning, all those decisions you had to make about today, it’s time to relax and let the plans kick into gear.

Take care of the Ring
If you’ve got an engagement ring, wear it on your right hand before and during the ceremony, so there’s less fumbling during the ring exchange
Be in Touch with the Organiser
If you’re doing an entrance at the ceremony, rather than greeting guests as they arrive, be in mobile contact with a guest or organiser where the ceremony is going to take place. Sometimes, things don’t go to plan. That’s ok – but be prepared, just in case
Engaging with the Guests
Make sure your guests are looked after – remember, you want them to remember your wedding day for all the right reasons. Engage with as many of them as much as you can and make sure they have plenty to eat and drink
Spend some time Together
Try to sneak five minutes together, just by yourselves during your after-party. No-one else there; no photographer; no phones. Just you two, to reflect – albeit briefly – on what’s just happened.
Don’t Forget to Smile
Smile and enjoy the day – and the entire experience! It will be over very quickly.
